A majestic rare albino whale shark graces the ocean

Sometimes, Nature puts on a show that leaves Man awestruck. And these spectacular displays by two denizens of the deep left all who saw them beguiled by their grace and beauty. Divers were stunned by the sight of a 33ft albino whale shark as it glided through the waters off the coast of Darwin, an island in the Galapagos group. The freak show is in town. It all begins tonight…

Melanie Martinez - Carousel

Words cannot express how excited I am (and most of the Internet is) for Season Four of American Horror Story to premier tonight on FX. This year’s theme “Freak Show” looks to be one of the scariest yet, based on the trailers and previews making their way online throughout the past few weeks.

In one trailer for this season, while we find ourselves navigating our through a disorienting circus tent, we’re treated to peeks at this season’s characters (bearded Kathy Bates and the original three-breasted woman, Angela Bassett, to name a few) and also the sounds of artist Melanie Martinez. Martinez, a huge fan of AHS, pitched her song “Carousel” immediately after learning of this year’s theme.  She found out just two days before the trailer was released that her song would be featured.

And the song is perfect for AHS: Freak Show; it balances on the precipice of something poppy and fun with a bass line that is all things sinister.

Martinez’s debut EP—filled with creepy tunes, plunky children’s piano melodies and less than saccharine lyrics—came out earlier this year, and she’s currently touring. Her songs may be one note, but when paired with Ryan Murphy’s truly horrifying vision (have you SEEN the clown yet?) we can’t complain. They’re a perfectly upbeat dysfunctional match.

i was trying to make my friend a bday cake but the dye on the decorative icing started leaking and dripping everywhere so it accidentally became the most ominous and violent looking baked good ive ever seen…… i slapped on some sprinkles to try and make it less threatening looking. it worked a little bit.
